Bible Studies/Sodomy within Marriage


This following is a sensitive but important matter of concern for me and my spouse so I hope our question is taken seriously. Can you provide any Biblical references to the act of sodomy between a man and a woman? We are particularly interested in knowing what most traditional Christian (Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist) church's positions are regarding this intimate act within traditional marriage.

Food for Thought: Evil concupiscence

Evil (noun):    That which is morally unacceptable.  Evil (Adj.): causing or capable of causing harm

Concupiscence:  Strong desire; especially:  sexual desire

Sodomy:     Anal or oral copulation with a member of the same or opposite sex; also:  copulation with an animal

Passion:   A strong sexual or romantic feeling for someone.

Gentiles have the lust of concupiscence.  Gentiles know not God. Gentiles have no hope and are without God in the world (1 Thess.4:5, Eph.2:12 below)

Colossians 3:5 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, below, lists out the sins of the unrighteous who do these things, that they shall not inherit the kingdom of God,

1 Corinthians 6:11, below, declares that there is salvation for these unrighteous in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Scriptures also declare that sin has no dominion over those who are washed, sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

In Jesus, the righteous are Jesusí living body; the righteous are the church of God (1 Cor.10:32; the righteous are under grace (Rom.6:14 below).

Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin for Godís seed REMAINS in him and he CANNOT sin, because he is BORN OF God (1 John 3:9 below).

Whosoever is born of God SINS NOT; but he that is BEGOTTON OF God keeps himself, and the wicked one (Satan) touches him not (1 John 5:18 below).

The believer on Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is born of God (1 John 5:1 below).

Mankind possesses passion.  When in the heat of sexual passion one will do what one will do,

But, they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Gal.5:24, Gal.5:16, Phil.4:8).  Righteous shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal.5:16-21).  Righteous have the fruit of the Spirit (Gal.5:22-25).

1 Thess.4:5    Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God (Eph.2:12 below):

Eph..2:12    That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. (1 Thess.4:5 above):

Col.3:5   Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

1 Cor.6:9    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

1 Cor.6:10    Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Cor.6:11    AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU: but YE ARE WASHED, but YE ARE SANCTIFIED, but YE ARE JUSTIFIED in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Rom.6:14    For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

1 John 3:9   Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John  5:18   We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

1 John 5:1   Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
