Bible Studies/Holy Bible Teachings.

Dear Rev C.Brian

1. Do you agree on this point mentioned below ?

The teachings of the Holy Bible - New Testament summary would be
Love, Compassion, Brotherhood and Peace.

2. The five qualities mentioned viz Hate, Jealousy, Greed, Lust and
Anger are obstacles for showing Love, Compassion, Brotherhood and Peace. i.e. Every Human Being (Man or Woman) has these qualities
in percentage (%), for example some may have less jealousy, hatred, greed, lust but anger could be more.

Do you feel if a Human Being overcomes, controls and manage these
qualities, this could lead to Love, Brotherhood, Compassion and Peace universally ?

Can you please share me with your views on this ?

Awaiting your reply,

Thanks & Regards,
Prashant S Akerkar

Dear Prashant

Thank you for your question.

A summary of the teaching of the Bible would be that mankind is sinful (verified by personal experience!).  As such, we are separated from the one Creator God, Who is pure and sinless.  We are unable to do anything about this by ourselves.  Out of His great love for us, Father God came, in the Persona of the Son (Jesus, the Christ) and paid the penalty for our sin, as He hung on the cross at Calvary.  When we, personally, confess our sins, and accept the salvation that is freely offered - although gained at such a great cost - then we receive, here and now, eternal life.  This life has to do with quality, rather than longevity, and is the very life of Almighty God, in believers through the filling of God the Holy Spirit.

Human beings, left to themselves cannot, in my opinion (and according to the teaching of God's written Word) overcome hatred, jealousy, greed, lust, and anger.  However, I would agree with you that some do so to a greater  degree than others!

I trust that this helps, but would recommend my own e-book, which you may view at

Kind regards.

I am happy to offer answers to anyone with a question that refers to the Christian Faith in its widest possible sense. I believe that the Bible is the living Word of God, and seek to base all of my life on its teaching. I also have some knowledge of some of the cults, and of Islam and Judaism. Of course, my answers are just one man's thoughts, and I would always advise a questioner to check with others, and with the Word of God.
