Question
QUESTION: My son must speak on Sunday in front of the church about
Jer. 18verse7-8/ 11Cor.7verse 10 and Acts 11 verse 18.
His 15 years old can you please help.

ANSWER:  Dear Carla,

Below are the said verses that your son has to speak on. They are about true repentance. Changing from bad attitudes or ways to good. Being sorrowful enough for your ways to change.

These are what I see:-

1. God is not wanting to judge people, but to have them change.
2. God does this for their own good.
3. There is a true change and a not true change..just being sorrowful for wrong doings is not enough. It has to produce proper change.

4. Changing our ways brings God's blessing. Staying the same brings a curse.

5. All God is interested in is that we stop doing evil and do good.

Hope this helps.

God bless

The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, 8 if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.

10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”

QUESTION: Is it possible that you can send me a little bit more information. He needs to speaks for 10 min.

Thanks very much

Answer
Many people show remorse when having denied God like Judas Iscariot, but this does not lead to repentance , change and life... it leads to death..and he was not forgiven his sins.

However Peter denied Christ and was reinstated in the position of chief apostle.

Study these two men and their remorse and repentance and you have a good sermon. One died unforgiven , one went onwards to life with God, but both denied Christ.

God bless
