Question
Does being born fatherless elevates one's status?

Answer
Ijaz A. Sheikh,

I assume you are speaking biblically. No being born fatherless does not elevate one's status. However, God does consider the needs of such as well as that of the widow and stranger and provides extra care for them and warnings to all that might seek to take advantage of them. It is more of a welfare program.

(Deu 24:21)  When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: IT SHALL BE FOR THE STRANGER, FOR THE FATHERLESS, AND FOR THE WIDOW.

(Deu 27:19)  CURSED BE HE THAT PERVERTETH THE JUDGMENT OF THE STRANGER, FATHERLESS, AND WIDOW. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Being such a one myself, I must say that I firmly believe I have been treated with extra care and extended certain mercies due to all that I missed and lack because of being fatherless.

I hope this helps.

The Bible contains an answer to all things necessary to life and salvation. We many times simple do not like the answer it gives. But, if your seeking the truth of God`s word, I can give my opinion and show from the Scriptures the basis for why I believe it is the correct interpretation of the Bible on most questions.
