Question
In Matthew 15,22 to 27 the Ca'naan woman asks Jesus for help but the Bible says "But he answered her not a word" and then in 26 "It is not meet to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs".Was not this hurting to the woman ? Why did Jesus refer to those outside the house of Israel as dogs ?
Thanks.George

Answer
Hi,
This women teach us a good lessons.. humble faith.  we must remember the this women wasent jew , just gentile,, why didtn Jesus respond to her... it is so unlike Himm. whose ears are open to the slightest call upon His name.. But He cannot answer her.. she is calling upon Him as the Son of David. in those times jews people used to call the gentiles dogs and Jesus used the little dogs..  we must remember the  salvation is for the jews, and it is still for the jews---to the jews first
