Question
If Adam and Eve were the first humans on the earth why are there mention in Chapter 6 that God was displeased with the mating of the sons of man with the sons of God or paraphased s that.
The sons of God were the godly line of Seth, and the daughters of men were the line of Cain.
In the Hebrew culture, the term, "son," did not have the same connotation as it does in our modern English language. It includes the idea of relationship, but it was also used to convey a relationship to a quality (like "the sons of thunder" in Mark 3:17, and the terms, "Son of Man" and "Son of God" used of Jesus Christ).
Some like to make more of the Genesis 6 passage than what was intended. Read the passage, get a feel for the context and the main idea the writer is trying to convey, and you will find that it has nothing to do with the concept of two distinct "races."
