Question
I just want to know if you can explain more clearly the meaning of Hebrews 11:1. I get the gist of it, but I want a more detailed meaning.

Hi Matt,
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
To understand this verse read the entire chapter. It gives many examples of people who performed great deeds by virtue of their faith.
Faith does not need proof and reason, it needs only spiritual leading.
When the Holy Spirit inspires a person of faith to act that inspiration is enough. God will open needed doors and add direction as needed.
Faith is the key to spiritual life. It is like a muscle. To strengthen it we need merely exorcise it.
