Question
Hi Dean:

I have written you several times and have always been satisfied with your'e answers. I would like to ask you if Jesus was a Levite? People are telling me he was not - so than why did God make the Levites the priests, why not make the tribe of Judah from which Jesus emerged the priestly tribe? Thanks for your'e help

Answer
I am sorry for the long delay.  There was an out of state emergency and I was unable to receive your question.

Jesus was of the house of Judah.  The best known ancestors were David and Bathsheba.

Matt 1:1-2
