Hi Brenda

i heard a preist talking about christmas and jesus and mary.
he said they where recently married and mary was pregnant and they looking for some where to stay.
does this mean they had sex before they where married?
because it takes about 12 months for a baby.

This is how it went;an angel told Mary she would be pregnant, Mary of course was stunned because Mary had never had sexual relations with anybody. the angel explained the child was from God.

Then the angel told Joseph to marry Mary, as a woman in these days who was preganant and not married could be stoned to death. It was explained to Joseph that his future wife was pregnant with "God's son, Jesus"
