Bible Studies/Jesus' death

Question
Hi Dean, thanks for the reply.  I understand what you're saying, but it still doesn't answer my question.  Jesus may not be limited by time, but the criminal was.  Jesus died on a Friday & rose on a Sunday.  I guess that is the problem.  Where was Jesus during this time period?  I think Catholics believe He went to hell?  Have a good day & God bless.

Answer
There is no human logic in this.  The criminal died that day.  They made sure of that by breaking his legs so he wouldn't still be there on the Sabboth.

When He died, he left our world of time.  He went immediately to Jesus Who is at the right hand of the Father in eternity.

It is only as we look at Jesus from our perspective of time ....while KEEPING the criminal in our time(which he left at his death)..that we have a problem.

According to our time, Jesus went and preached to those in prison..which is taken as His descent into hell.  But this has nothing to do with the "time" of the criminal who had left our sphere of time.

I may be an "expert", but that does not mean that I understand all that God has done, is doing and will do.  For some matters it is best to take King David's advice:

Ps 131:1-2
131:1 A song of ascents. Of David.

My heart is not proud, O LORD,
my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters
or things too wonderful for me.
2 But I have stilled and quieted my soul;
like a weaned child with its mother,
like a weaned child is my soul within me.
(from New International Version)

We are required by our human weakness to walk by faith and not by sight, reason and human wisdom.
