Question
I understand that early KJV Bibles had translators' notes together with the text, like the footnotes in modern Bible versions. Why are they not included in KJV Bibles today? Isn't it better to have these notes to better understand this translation?

Answer
The Bible was written with the intention of a person receiving the revelation by God about what was written in the Bible. I have found myself often confused by some passages. Revelation may come from other sources such as Matthew Henry's commentary, Nave's Topical Bible, Vine's Expository Dictionary, and other reference material.
I personally use the King James Thompson Chain Bible while my wife uses the Life Application Bible.
It is not so much as the material that is used, but rather the revelation that we pray God will provide to us.
I pray this has helped you.
