Are they the same person?
Who was contemporary to Zachariah?

Although I'm not a historian I'm pretty sure they are different people.

Ezra 4:4-5 Then the people of the land tried to discourage the people of Judah. They troubled them in building, 5 and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.

These few verses in Ezra seem to indicate that Cyrus was king before Darius, hence two different people.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "contemporary to Zachariah"?
