Bible Studies/King James Text

Question
Is it true that the King James Bible does not ALWAYS in every verse translate from the recieved text? What about the old testament? Thank you.

Answer
The King James Version [also known as the Authorized Version] is a revision of the Bishops Bible [1568] and drew from several previous translations, even the Catholic [Rheims].
The Greek Received Text was the basic Greek [Byzantine]tradition used for the KJames.  The Greek did contain the Old Testament.  The authors also consulted Hebrew for the Old Testament.
I am sorry that I am not familiar with the verse by verse analysis of the KJames.
Best wishes, anon.
