Question
Dear Mr. O' Flaherty,
One of my friends recently said that a Roman emperor got rid of several books in the bible and that before Eve Adam had a wife named Lillina whom he banished becasue during intercourse she wanted to be on top. I know that it is certainly possible that rulers and religious leaders got rid of certain books in the bible but do you know anything about this? If you could answer this I'd greatly appreciate it. -Matthew

Answer
Hi Matthew!

Someone read your question to me and was familiar with Lilith. Here is the link: http://ccat.sas.upenn.edu/~humm/Topics/Lilith/

I have never heard that one -- sorry. Even a Google search didn't net anything that looked close. However, from a Christian perspective, God could have any book added or taken out. So even though I believe that men wrote the Bible, they were inspired by the Holy Spirit. What is amazing is that God made it available so freely -- imagine all the people who longed to see what we see, or desired to have a single prophecy shown to them. We get the entire Word of God -- all of it. God kept nothing back, and it is provided to everyone -- not just a few elect.

Sorry I couldn't answer that one!

God bless you!

Expertise

Do you know that unless you are born of water and Spirit you cannot get into heaven? Do you know that there is no passage in the Bible that asks you to "pray Jesus into your heart" to be saved? I have volunteered in the Jehovah`s Witness section for years (check my ratings out there), but feel it is time to branch out. Friendly discussions only! Be prepared to open your Bible!

Experience

My "expertise" if one could say that is mainly with Jehovah's Witnesses, Trinity, and the diety of Jesus. However, I am also a born-again Christian and dabble with the Greek langauge. Not an expert, but I look forward to going to heaven.
