Question
Jesus said, "No man cometh unto the father except through the son", so how did Methuselah make it to heaven before the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ?

Answer
Dear Richard,

Enoch, who went to heaven without dieing, and Methuselah, and all the others who believed in and followed God's commandments, were all saved by the sacrifice of Jesus. Notice the following text:

Rev 13:8  All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the LAMB (Jesus) WHO WAS SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.

Everyone who lived before Jesus, looked forward in faith to His coming. They were all covered by Jesus sacrifice because God knew His promised salvation would come true in His Son. All were saved by the blood of the lamb, just like we are.
