Question
If Adam and Eve were created first and their children were Cain and Abel, where did Cain's wife come from?

Answer
Hello.  That is a very famous question.

Genesis 5:4  And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

I would guess that he married a sister.  This would not be a thing of perversion.  It was a necessity.  He may have even already had his own home, when she was growing up.  Every-once-in-awhile, you hear of someone who married a woman, and later they discovered they were cousins.  They would not be perverted to stay together, after they found that out.

Have you ever heard of the term, "genetic load?"  All the D.N.A. in humanity, was stored up in their D.N.A.  It was full.  We now have what is called a genetic load--that is, if we marry a close relative, because our D.N.A. is so similar, the children may be retarted.  Whereas Adam, Eve, etc. had "fresh, full" D.N.A., we have "emptier" D.N.A.  Genetically, Adams and Eve's children would not have been as related as my Sister and I.  The D.N.A. now, is "running thin."  Whereas their D.N.A., was like a full pot.  I hope you understand what I am meaning.

Later, God did ban sibling marriage.  It was perverted, later, because you did have the option to marry outside of your direct family.

Leviticus 18:9  The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, [whether she be] born at home, or born abroad, [even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

Leviticus 20:17  And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it [is] a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

You can find some information on banned marriages in Leviticus chapter 18, chapter 20, etc.

Thanks for the great question, and feel free to ask any question again.  Thanks.

 This is the Gospel:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
