Bible Studies/Population Estimates

Question
Do you know where I can find population estimates for various points in time in the Old Testament? Today I need the time of Gideon but would love to know where I could access this info for future reference.

Answer
Rich, I am sorry that I do not know of reliable estimates of populations in ancient Israel.  Joachim Jeremias wrote a book about the population of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus.  Solomon took a census.
I suspect that the lack of opinion is due to the lack of hard evidence about early times.
I tried a couple Google searches but could not find a key to the type of info that you are seeking.
Best wishes.
