Where does the idea of different orders of demons like the incubbus and sucubbus come from?  Do they really exist?  Why would God create them?  What power do they have over humans if so?

Hi Doug,

THanks for this great question.  The idea of demons having sex with humans comes from Genesis 6 where the sons of God came to the daughters of men.... but I do not believe that those were demons.  The idea that demons have ranks comes from this verse:

Ephesians 6:12
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

This is all that I know for sure, everything else is speculation.
