Question
Can you tell me who the three men were who appeared in Gensis 18.  I found something that mentioned the Second Person of God and two angels but who were they?

Thank you

Answer
Dear Carrie,
Thank you for writing.  I agree with the explanation that you've mentioned.  Chapter 18 mentions Jehovah and He is in the form of a man, so He would no doubt be considered the Second Person of the Godhead.  He knew that Sarah laughed, even though Sarah laughed within herself (not openly) and she was in the tent behind them. (vs.9-12)  God gave Abraham and Sarah the promise of a miracle.     The men left to go to Sodom (verse 22) but the Lord stayed to talk more with Abraham.  Chapter 19:1 says two angels came to Sodom, so these must have been the two who left Abraham.
If I haven't grasped your question quite right, or you'd like more information about Jesus, let me know, ok?

I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.
