im not a great believer in christianity, but i cant say that i dont believe in god. my whole life i was brought up as a christian, i was told that god knows all and all that other stuff. but as i began to see the world unfold for itself i began questioning what is the point in all this.
whats the whole reason for this. the scriptures tell us to worship only one, to fear the darkness in our hearts and ultimately lose our own sence of indivuality.
it seems like he is a father who will not let his children grow, a fother who cannot accept the differences of his own children.
and in the end, it really seems that all he has to offer is hope. hope and faith, though i once thought they were good and virtuous qualities i have started wondering is it all simply to blind us from the truth?
after all hope makes one see what is not there. maybe what may never be there.

Dear Dainslef,
"What is the point?" That is the question, the answer of which completes the theory of everything that the world seeks. The answer is not that difficult. Bear with me a little and we shall precede and I will attempt to explain as it seems to me that you are mis-understanding somewhat such as God not wanting individualism, for he surely does; creation is full of uniqueness and individualism.
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive GLORY AND HONOUR AND POWER: for THOU HAST CREATED ALL THINGS, AND FOR THY PLEASURE THEY ARE AND WERE CREATED.
God created all things for his glory, honor, power and for his pleasure. This is the answer to "What's the point?" and having this sets our course and establishes our point in being: to be pleasing to and glorify God. Now we must be taught, have it explain to us how to do this. Hence God's revelation of himself to man.
Heb 1:1-2 God, WHO AT SUNDRY TIMES AND IN DIVERS MANNERS SPAKE IN TIME PAST UNTO THE FATHERS BY THE PROPHETS, (2) HATH IN THESE LAST DAYS SPOKEN UNTO US BY HIS SON,...
2Pe 1:16-21 ... (19) WE HAVE ALSO A MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (20) KNOWING THIS FIRST, THAT NO PROPHECY OF THE SCRIPTURE IS OF ANY PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. (21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but HOLY MEN OF GOD SPAKE AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST.
This of course brings us to God's word, the Bible, as well as to the front lines of the war for the hearts of men. Without God there is no point, is no right or wrong, good or evil; no point to life except selfishness and if life is to hard blow your brains out, what's the difference. This is all the world without God has to offer. Survival of the fittest, life in a jungle. Without God it is just man's opinion and everyone has their own. Whoever can obtain the power to force theirs on others wins.
If you have any intelligence at all you would say that that is about what goes on. The world lives as if there is no God and religion is just a means to control others, a means of power over others to force the opinion of a few upon the many. You would be right is so saying.
However, the world goes according to the Bible. God is in charge of the good as well as the evil.
Isa 45:5-7 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: (6) That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. (7) I FORM THE LIGHT, AND CREATE DARKNESS: I MAKE PEACE, AND CREATE EVIL: I the LORD do all these things.
God takes full responsibility for creation. But, seeing he created all things for his glory he could not just make little robots who have no choice, but man was made with the free will to direct his heart to God or away, to good or to evil. Of course to exercise this free will there must be a choice existing, there must be good as well as evil, a Satan as well as a God. Hence, we have the war for the hearts of men.
God is willing that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance and the knowledge of his saving grace. Yet we have that evil enemy, and all those who choose the evil, the selfish, who all want God's plan of salvation to fail and for spite would have you deceived and lost forever.
There is much to learn, more than I can say in one brief answer. I am perfectly willing to try and answer any question you may wish to put to me. I will, however, leave you with this advise. Humble yourself before God and call out to him. This is what I did when a young man and he had mercy upon me and led me to the truth of his saving grace through faith in his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Further, I say for you to seek his word through the Authorize Version or king James Version of the Bible in English or its equivalent in your language. It is the standard and word of God. This is hotly debated of course, as all things will be seeing we have these enemies to truth and light. The closer to the truth the greater the warfare will be.

The word of God will stand a thousand readings;
and he who has gone over it most frequently
is the surest of finding new wonders there.

Sink the Bible to the bottom of the ocean, and still man's obligations to God would be unchanged. He would have the same path to tread, only his lamp and his guide would be gone; the same voyage to make, but his chart and compass would be overboard.

man walks a path of ideas, he wanders the world in search of self fullfillment. it seems easy that he be fooled by any type of hope or good will.
if there is a god, who is to say that he is the ultimate good. who can truly look upon this world that he created and say it is salvation. when in the end it seems as though he has abandoned man.
almost as though we were nothing more than the monster created by frankenstein. nothing but a failed experiment to be shunned and abandoned, left in empty lonliness, never to be saved.
"God takes full responsibility for creation. But, seeing he created all things for his glory he could not just make little robots who have no choice, but man was made with the free will to direct his heart to God or away, to good or to evil."
as we were made in the image of god, could we too not have the hearts of god as well. though not all of man may be so vile, many may look down at there failures and choose to rid it of existance. and if god truly took responsibilities
for his creations, perhaps it would be better to end the existance of humanity. for there is little if any hope left.
for gods bible is soon losing its meaning. his name is being used in the death of countless lives, his ideals misconstrued so that it only brings havoc and chaos to the world.
maybe man has strayed too far from the path of god.
it seems almost as though God is as lost as we.
a master that can no longer feed his servants nor give orders to his children.
perhaps we are nothing but his monster, soon to perish in a frozen blaze. forgotten by him who we once so adored, the father of our mortal frame. for we are nothing but his shadow and as he seemingly falls back into the darkness that he came, we begin to slowly fade from existance and lose our bond.
all that is left is our hope, our faith. but who could truly put that much faith in someone who has abandoned them so many times. who else but the desperate and the blind.
AnswerDear Dainslef,
Your are as the quote I posted at the bottom of my post. You have your chart and compass overboard and are trying to navigate life without them. This is why all is so confusing to you. God is definitely in charge and all is going as he has said it would and it will continue to do so.
Salvation is open to all through faith in God's Son Christ Jesus, one does not have to understand, one has to believe.
"God has determined that divine things should enter through the heart into the mind, and not through the mind into the heart. In divine things, therefore, it is necessary to love them in order to know them."
Blaise Pascal
French Mathematician, Physicist
1623-1662
But, you cannot believe if you have not heard.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and HOW SHALL THEY BELIEVE IN HIM OF WHOM THEY HAVE NOT HEARD? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, IT PLEASED GOD BY THE FOOLISHNESS OF PREACHING TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE.
God is not offering understanding and salvation on the basis of the wisdom of this world, but by that which is foolishness to man's reason and worldly wisdom. I am hear to preach so you might hear and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins.
Joh 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED. (18) HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED: BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.
We have an enemy, however, that wants us to fail, to reject the truth, and perish. This is why there is so much confusion, it is simply the mis-information of general warfare. It is the truth that the world will ignore, belittle and condemn. The closer you come to the truth the greater will be the warfare of mis-information, imitation and confusion.
God is not lost nor unable to feed and command his children. But you have to chose to come to him and believe to be one of his children. Those who reject him will perish not in a frozen blaze, but a lake of fire.
Rev 20:15 And WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.
I beg you, put your name in the lamb or God's book of life.
Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: BUT THEY WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE.
