Bible Studies/bible quote

Question
I recently saw a movie where there were
several references to a quote from the Latin
Bible.  I believe that it was from Genesis
and that, in English, it was something like

"In creation is the seed of destruction."

I believe that the Latin words

    "semen" and "genesis"

are in the Vulgate equivalent.

Do you know the chapter and verse I am
looking for?

Answer
First, you should know that the word "genesis" is not Latin, it's Greek.  In the Vulgate (and therefore in English Bibles) many of the books have Greek titles.  "Semen" is Latin (the Greek word is "spermatos").
I cannot find the quote you mention.  Genesis only has "the seed in it" (semen in semet) in Genesis 1:11-12, refering to seed-bearing plants.
I believe that quote came from elsewhere.

I hope this is helpful
