Question
Hello

I have a question about the eating of blood. I know that in that God tells Noah not to eat blood because it contians the "Life," of the creature in it. Now that being the case - why doesnt God wanting us to ingest the Lifeblood of the creature? Is it because "Life," is something that is within His domain only and no one else may partake of something that belongs strictly to him. Would it be infringing on his territory? Or is there some OTHER reason why He ordered them not to ingest blood.  Thankyou.

Answer
It is believed that this is a prohibition of acting like a carnivores animal which rips animals apart and eats even while it is still alive.

And yes, there is something of a separate domain here as we see in the later regulations of sacrifices in the laws of Moses.  In the sacrifices for a man's sin's the blood is poured out to God, made into a libation over meat sacrifices and also sprinkled on the altar.

There is also the spiritual matter pointing to the blood of the Messiah which would be the fulfillment of all blood sacrifices for sin.
