Question
Who was the anointed cherub?

Answer
Taking into account that this "cherub" is spoken of in the book of Ezekiel, we can count on there being both real and mystical meanings.

The King of Tyre is the main person spoken about.  He was very, very rich, a good ruler for some time and considered himself to the "covering"(protecting angel) of his people.

Thus he lived like one  in the garden of Eden with all its beauty and peace.

However, as we read on, we see that his life was eventually consumed with merchandise/trade. V.16-18 It was at the cost of justice and peace in his country that he pursued these things and so fell from favor with God who had raised him up to rule.

We also see the mystical or spiritual part refering to the cherub's job and rule of Adam in Eden till he sinned against God and creation.

At first reading it may seem to have to do with Lucifer, but too much of is out of place.  Lucifer was an archangel and not a cherub, and he did buy and sell.
