I was wondering what bible has to say about cursing. Does it effect if some one keeps cursing or scolding you effect your life?

Dear Dan,

There are several kinds of curses mentioned in the bible.

One is a curse , used loosely, a reward or conclusion of doing wrong things...

The other one is a witch craft or sorcery type curse. This curse can be placed upon you for not real cause by some evil person sending demonic influence into your life. In Christ we have protection against these but otherwise normal people get greatly effected by these. Though not common and not frequent they are real.

The general one is like "drink a bottle of spirits and you will have a big hang over". General cause and effect. Do wrong and wrong will come upon you. etc etc

The second is witch craft.

Now normal people cannot do witch craft. It needs demonic possession behind it...demonic powers.

Proverbs 26:2 Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow,  an undeserved curse does not come to rest.
