THANK YOU,,,,,,,

Is not Acts the history of the church ??  what does that mean?? why do you say Eph. when that is only one of the churches? THAT GOT STARTED IN ACTS??

Matt. says to use the name,, why don't we use the name ?? instead of the titles God held??  did any of the Apostles use Father,Son and Holy Ghost?? WHY NOT IF NOT???
John 1:1 says that the word was God , not his son ,, the word , which was God became flesh,,, so was that God or Jesus who became flesh?? and in 1 Tim 3:16 it says God was manifested in the flesh not the SON???

If in Eph it says the family name in heaven and earth was Lord Jesus Christ, would that be the name of God????

what examples can we use to find how people in the new testament got saved ????

what examples do we use to find where people got baptized in the words ,, father, son, and holy ghost ???

If Romans to Revelation was written to the churches or saints,, how do we become saints or how did they get into the different church in the new testament???

WHY DID PAUL RE-BAPTIZED JOHN'S DECIPLES IN ACTS 19:1-5

IF GOD IS A TRINITY ,, WHAT IS HIS NAME??

Dear Ted,
Thanks for writing.  It's best to read through the entire Bible, a little every day, to make sure the answers to your questions aren't pulled out of context, that they fit God's total inspired revelation of Himself to us.
Ephesians 2:8-10 speaks of how a person gets saved to live for God.
   Matthew 28:19-20 gives baptism instructions.
Saints, Church, Saved, all pertain to God's people following Eph.2:8-10  Even Old Testament people were saved by grace through faith in a future Savior. (Hebrew 11)
Paul re-baptized those who weren't aware that Jesus paid the penalty for sin, so our sins could actually be removed, allowing God to live in us. Colossians 1:27
God's name is God, or I AM (Exodus 3:14), or Word (John 1:1).  He is the Source of everything (John 1:3).  Bringing out the Trinity, the Bible speaks in many different places of God as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Your questions make reading the Bible more interesting, so enjoy as you feast on His fulfilling spiritual nourishment.

Answer
Dear Ted,
Thanks for writing back.  I'm glad to dialog with my opinion, but the Holy Spirit will give better understanding of the truth of God's Word (John 16:13-15), if you entrust yourself completely to God by accepting Jesus' complete payment for your sins.
Every book in the Bible not only has a specific purpose for its original audience, but it also has timeless instruction to help all humans fulfill our created purpose of reflecting our Creator's glory.  We were each made unique in His image to reflect the light of His perfect love and power, like a diamond reflects the light more brilliantly the more facets it has.
I'm sure the apostles obeyed Jesus' instructions on baptizing, using the Name (not names) of God, which are Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.  When we are also obedient to follow God as a three-in-one Being far above our limited human understanding (Isaiah 55), then we too can be a part of spreading God's salvation, like the wonderful impact those 12 apostles had on the world.
Yes, God became flesh, became one of us, born humbly and placed in a manger, so we celebrate Christmas.  Jesus is Emmanuel, God with us. Matthew 1:21-23
Have a wonderful Christmas and shine for Him!

I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective.
