Question
I have a friend that is struggling with keeping on Gods path. He was very stead fast and going towards Gods way now he is in Las Vegas for two weeks and temptation has overwhelmed him. What scriptures or words can you inform me about to let him read to get a better mind and avoid temptation and get his faith rejuvenated?

Dear Glynnis,

It would be rather difficult for me to come up with anything in particular not knowing the person of whom you speak. But, it is obvious that if a mere two weeks in Las Vegas is destroying his faith and testimony he was not a power house of faith to begin with. I do not say this to be discouraging, but we must face facts, throwing a verse or two at him is not going to do much.

To know God is to fear God, men do not fear him because they do not know him. Your friend, although hopefully saved, does not know God nor understand that even the saints are judged in this life and one can suffer greatly now for our disobedience to God's word and we will give an account of our lives to Christ.

    THINGS DONE IN HIS BODY, ACCORDING TO THAT HE HATH DONE,
    WHETHER IT BE GOOD OR BAD.
