Hello,
 I am interested in learning about Christianity.  Can you recommend me a book to read that is about Christianity .. like the basics.. how it all started ….you know all of that. Everything I need to know about Christianity. A book that is simple and clear , no “ thy tho ‘ stuff in it. Thanx.

There are a number you can choose from Halleys Bible Handbook, Wilmingtons guide to the bible (an excellent choice which explains the doctrines), The bible itself but I would recommend The New American Standard Version since it is written in plain everyday english and is probably the most accurate translation.  The book of acts gives a good synopisis of how christianity began and spread.
