Bible Studies/judgeing others

Question
I know of several people around me that thrive on judging others (Christian people) my question is how do you approach them I've read Matthew 7:1-5 and I've also read he who is without sin let him cast the first stone, I've read in Proverbs  11:9 also. The bible says that no one is perfect I realize that  I sin everyday and I know that God still loves me, where else can I find that judging others is wrong

Answer
Hi,
You obviously know the biblical judgment on such things.
There are many verses that could be cited, John 13:35, Titus 3:9, "But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain" and so on.

Personally, I usually call them on it. If it is something of a questionable nature, I ask where the Bible says "that." I might point out that if non-Christians hear such judgementalism from Christians it will doubtless push them further away from God. I might point out that I don't believe it is Christian to talk like this and can we please change the subject...

Personally though, I almost always call people on what they say like this. It shows that you have character and shows others that you will not talk behind their back and so on. To me, this is part of a godly lifestyle.

Hope this helps,
