Question
Hi Germania (thats a great name by the way)

Thankyou for taking my question. I would like to know if something I was told is true. I was told that when Jesus claimed to be the King of the Jews, He was understood to mean He would UNITE the current Jews of his time and 10 tribes who were lost Under Jeroboam. Is this true? Is this what Both Jesus and the people of his time thought he was saying? How did they expect him to find the members of the lost tribes.

           Thankyou very much

Answer
Pete,

To answer your question, when Jesus claimed to be KING OF JEWS, the Jewish leaders of the time understood this claim as one of equality with God.  By saying that He was the King Of the Jews, Jesus offended those who did not accept that He was the promised Messiah.

I hope this helps.
