hello, i am interested in finding out about the nature of god and Christian belief. it would be very helpful to read some biblical quotations on this subject as support, could you give me some useful ones please?

Dear Mary,
   Thank you for writing.  The nature of God is love.  He created us to reflect His love, so instead of making us robots, He made us with the ability to trust His love, or to reject it for our own self-love.  Since we have all rejected God to have our own self-love, we are all separated from our Source of life.  God the Son became one of us to take our place of death, so we could be connected to our perfect Creator forever, if we are willing to turn away from our self-love and live through His resurrected life.  I John 4:8-10  Romans 3:23  Romans 6:23  John 1:1-14  All of the Bible illustrates this core message, but the verses I've mentioned will highlight it for you.
   May you trust God's salvation through Jesus Christ as your Lord.
