thank you for taking my question. I am sitting here at home watching spychic detectives and just cant figure these people out. I do not believe our loved ones float around after death and speak to us. these psychics think "spirits" guide them and tell them things. this to me is a red flag for demons. what is actually going on here? the people dont seem evil or wierd. is some of this a gift of prophecy or does satan completely have them snowed. what is your take on this. thanks, laura

In my opinion it varies.
There are a lot of con artists. By asking the right questions,listening, reading between the line's etc. you can pick up a lot.

"You are in love or care about someone..."
"Yes, my girlfriend Su..."
"I sense that you are serious about Su..san..."
"We're thinking about marriage!"
"But I sense you are not sure...."

Etc.

Then are real psychics, people who pick up on things they should not be able to know. I believe that there is more to reality than most people imagine. That such states and abilities exist, in, my opinion, is certain.

There is also a dark side to reality. I know for a fact that demons are real. There are several types of non-embodied spirit beings, including us, the soul. It is possible to connect with certain spirits. Some are positive, some are neutral and some are negative. One should be very careful.

The Bible says much the same and warns to shun those who seek familiar spirits. Knowing which spirits are evil can be tricky. The best bet is that found in Scripture:

"And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger."

Seek God and therewith be content lest you provoke His wrath and encounter things you may be unprepared for.
