Bible Studies/question on God and Lucifer

Question
had this question for a really long time.

If I see an old lady crossing in the sidewalk and could save her easily but do not-- and declare it is her freedom of choice to have bad judgement and let her get hit by a bus-- a crime of ommission I would think.

When God created Lucifer did he not know he would become Satan?  of course he did.. so why then is not God cupable for this?

Answer
Hi Jeff,

The problem with your analogy is that the woman was not trying to commit suicide by having the bus run her over.  She was unaware of the danger and you saved her.

I do not know why God created Lucifer.  Why did He create us, knowing the sin we would commit?

Isaiah 55:8
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

There is no easy answer for your question.  We know God is Holy, and He is infinite.  We are unholy and finite.  We will not be able to get our minds around why He does what He does.

I hope that this helps some.

In Christ

I believe that every word of the Bible is God-Breathed. This blessed book is the foundation of truth for faith and practice. If you ask this volunteer a question you will receive an answer from the Bible that is based upon a litteral, normal interpretation, taking into account the grammar and culture of the time.
