Question
I've been trying to understand the passage that goes (sorry, I don't have the scripture to reference it with):

"for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved".

what does "call upon" mean, and why do they use the phrase "the name of the Lord".

(I've heard "call upon" means to worship/to appeal...is this correct?)

Thank you,

Matt Bachman

Answer
Hi,
the scripture is in  Romans chapter 10:13.. call upon, accordently with the diccionary means  .. call to be...
not worship.. if we call upon the name of the Lord, in others words, if we acept His words and fallow His commamends the we shall be saved.
