Question
Were there rainbows in pre-deluge days of Noah, and why?

Answer
Hello T.Ho,

Thank you for your question.
I'm not quite sure rainbows existed before Noah's day since the Bible doesn't mention them until after the flood.  It could be that rainbows had existed already and God decided to use them as a symbol for the covenant, or perhaps they may have been created entirely after the flood.
In my personal opinion, I think that rainbows have probably always existed and God gave special meaning to them after the flood.  Frequently throughout the scriptures God uses objects and items for spiritual meanings and purposes.

God has blessed me and enlightened me with wisdom from His word. I will try to answer each question as best as possible and I will do my best to support my answers with scripture whenever possible. I can`t say I can answer everything and I don`t think anyone can, but I will try my best. It is my goal to stay as faithful as I possibly can to the scriptures without turning to the left or the right. I will always try to give a logical, clear, and precise explanation of the scriptures.
