Question
Was satan GOD'S chief musician? If so, where is it in the king james bible

Answer
Hi Keith.
This is certainly a very interesting question.  The simple answer is that I am unaware of anywhere, in any translation of the Bible, that specifically states that satan was God's musician - chief or otherwise!  However, we do know that he is a fallen angel and, as the angels are constantly worshipping God, it is not unreasonable to assume that satan did the same.  We might then speculate - BUT IT IS NO MORE THAN SPECULATION - that he had a position of leadership in praise and worship.
If you wish to study more about satan, then I would recommend a visit to http://users.aristotle.net/~bhuie/satan.htm  However, it is much better to study the Lord, and be in a personal relationship with Him.  Satan is the great deceiver; Jesus is the Truth.  If you do not already know Him as your personal Saviour, I commend Him to you.
Blessings,

Expertise

I am happy to offer answers to anyone with a question that refers to the Christian Faith in its widest possible sense. I believe that the Bible is the living Word of God, and seek to base all of my life on its teaching. I also have some knowledge of some of the cults, and of Islam and Judaism. Of course, my answers are just one man's thoughts, and I would always advise a questioner to check with others, and with the Word of God.

Experience

Served as a full-time parish minister in Scotland for about six years, and then spent the last thirty as a teacher (now 'retired') of Religious Education in Secondary Comprehensive schools (ages 11-17) while continuing my own preaching and teaching ministry. I also believe that learning is a life-time process, and have recently completed a Master's degree in Divinity.
