Bible Studies/sirach 3:22

Question
The saying "seek not what is too sublime" comes,
as far as I can tell, from what the Biblia Vulgata
gives as "Sirach 3:22", "altiora ne te scrutaveris".
I find this in Douay Rheims as "Ecc 3:22".  I do
not find it at all in the KJV.

My questions:

1. Do I reference the saying correctly with
  "Sirach 3:22"?

2. Is the saying somewhere in the KJV?

3. If not "yes" to the above, why not?

4. Am I correct in thinking that Sirach is
  subsumed into Ecclesiastes?

Answer
Hi James, Sirach is part of the Apochrypha> These books, while written by religious jews, are not considered by most to be of divine origin but are only highly respected religious writings of men.

Are taken from the Apocrypha and/pseudepigraphical books. not included in the canon, so thats why you won't find in the KJV.
These books are not acepted as de Word of God by Protestant Christians.
This books is only found in Catholic bibles. Protestan bibles removed 7 books.

The book of Sirach is not considered part of the inspired books tha make up the Holy Bible.
Beside you can go to internet and search yoursel for more information. Thank you.
