Question
Hi there,
I'm very interested in learing about the Bible, and religion in general. I'm 19 years old, and have ABSOLUTELY no knowledge on the subject. How do you reccomend I begin?

Thanks.

Answer
Dear Jesse,

You do not say what has prompted your desire to study the Bible and religion. If you recently came to the saving faith of the grace of God through Christ Jesus that would be one thing; on the other hand, if it is simply a mental enquiry that would be another. If it is the former I would advise you first in living, to follow your conscience and the royal rule; do unto others as you would have them do unto you, then obtain a King James Bible and read, read, read. You cannot understand the Bible until you know the Bible.

If it be the latter, find yourself a King James Bible and read, read, read and then study what you will.

Expertise

The Bible contains an answer to all things necessary to life and salvation. We many times simple do not like the answer it gives. But, if your seeking the truth of God`s word, I can give my opinion and show from the Scriptures the basis for why I believe it is the correct interpretation of the Bible on most questions.

I have been a student of the Bible for over 25 years.
