Question
Our bichon has been a perfect pet until about 6 mos ago when he suddenly
began attacking our 12 yr old son when he would kiss us goodnight or
goodbye in the morning before leaving for school.  He also barks savagely at
our housekeeper when she leaves even though he loves her when she is here.  
When either my husband or I am leaving the house he does the same thing.  
What do we do?

This is more common than you'd think, its all about pack hierarchy and possession. Im afraid you MUST go back to basics and teach little fluff monster that his position is below yours and any human member he comes into contact with.
YOU MUST NEVER HIT HIM, just buy a crate and teach him his manners, in about 2-4 weeks you will look back and think, why didnt i do that first.
