I would like to know if the Bichon freise can be a husky
boy at 28lbs. 5 years old, very happy and healthy

Answer
I get asked this quite often. Unless he is rather tall,lets say over 15 inch at the shoulder, that is a bit porky. Healthwise, we are often deluded as to exactly how weight affects our canine charges.
This will have an effect upon his knees, his heart and his eyes.
I KNOW HE SOUNDS so cuddly like a teddy bear but you have to understand that these are prone to patella as are all toy dogs.THEY ARE PRONE TO HEART CONDITIONS , and they do develop stones which are all diet related in so far as too big intake will increase prone ness.
