Hi again. We got our Dog today and he is 9 weeks old. We have been easing him into ourlifestyle but doesn't see tobe drinking any water. Hasn't goneto the toilet once and is secluding itself from the rest of the family. We are quite worried about "Teddy" and don'tno what to do. We also haveno idea how to toilet train him, we have been taking him outside first thing in the morning and after each meal and each nap, but doesn't seem tobe going to the toilet. Wehave a"Playpen forhim with newspapers laid out and a bed which he sleeps in.Is this alright?

Hi Gen pups at such a tender age are normally very boistrous for about ten minutes but then sleep for several hours. He is far too young to go outside yet and should not do so until 1 week after his 2nd vaccination .
I would give him a cranberry tablet to ensure he hasnt got a little water infection. Give him nice soft food and just be very quiet and gentle around him, he is obviously unsocialised which is very poor and sad.
Buy some puppy milk and give it to him warm , it is possible either he isnt as old as you have been told o he is just immature, some develop later on.
