Bichon Frise/Hair on back turning yellow

Question
I have a 6 month old Bichon whose hair on his back is turing a yellow/brown color and seams to be spreading down onto his tail. Is something medically wrong or will it just go away with time? I think it looks really ugly.

Answer
Unless I can see a picture I think what you are describing is simply the juvenile peach to yellow colouring some bichons have up until they are on average 2 years of age, many however still have a small amount at 5 years of age, they tend to live like that.
I have a site www.eurobichons.com
would you like to post me a pic on there so I can clarify that this is what I am describing.
The peachy colouring should go with time and a white shampoo can help to reduce it quicker, it does no harm at all and is normal, you will also see a few darker [patches appear on the skin very soon within weeks, these are also normal so dont panic.

Good luck
