Question
my breeder has raised lots of Bichons and also shows them. My Bichon is 4 months old and she has told me not to get the dew claws removed.  My groomer insists that I have them removed.  We have not had any problem but the groomer says we could.  She will be getting spayed in a few weeks and I would like to know if I should or should not have them removed.

Answer
Hi there
I do not understand why a groomer would be questioning a breeder, the groomer works for you and NOT the other way around.I would choose another groomer, one that understands how the relationship works.

It is not necessary to have dew claws removed and if the breeder chooses too they should be removed as soon after delivery as possible and only by a vet.

Just keep the cut and it doesnt need a groomer to do that.

I have videos on site to show you how to cut nails look at

Good luck
