Bichon Frise/persistant scratching

Question
My 8 month old bichon mix came to my home from a backyard breeder with a flea infection and multiple hot spots. He was a surprise from my parents who didn't know any better. The spots took a few months to finally heal properly, but he continues to scratch beneath his ear and chin area. It seems to come in spurts every couple of weeks and if I don't catch him in time, he'll scratch until he turns raw and almost bleeding. He's on a monthly flea treatment and had his worm medication. Has this just become a terrible habit??

Answer
poor little mite.
Change his diet to a raw food diet, give him some ground oatmeal in his diet, lamb bones (raw), chicken wings (raw) fresh greens, goats milk, cheese, eggs, fish. He should have omega 3,6,9 added to his diet, many dogs with allergies, intolerances or just itching are deficient in these . Also give him cranberry tabs, fibre tabs, and lots of fish cooked such as cod, mackeral, salmon,
if you do all these you will be surprised how quick this heals
