Hi there..
We currently own a 2 1/2 yr. old male bichon who is the best dog..I brought home another 9 week male bichon pup the other day. The older dog immediately started acting strange, anti- social and not himself . We have tried treating him ,(and he is)like the number one dog..to no avail. We love our older dog and hate seeing him this way. he is not himself and we don't know what to do short of getting rid of the new puppy ..who is adorable..any suggestions..

My suggestion is completely ignore the younger dog for a few days this will resolve how hey feel very soon, the older dog is at the age of adolescent and all bichons go thru this.
Give it time, how would you like a stranger to come in and share your mum and dad , as this is what is happeneing.
hey will soon get it on and then the humping will begin.
