Question
I have just purchased a 9 week old bichon puppy.  The first night he wined for 20 minutes then fell asleep in his crate, even though he did wake a couple of times that wasnt this issue.  The night after was the worse, put him in his crate at the same time and went crazy, barking for over 1 hour.  I  then went down and put him in the kitchen with the tv on and from 11 he carriad on barking till 4 until i got up.... what am i doing wrong and will this eventually stop.. I new he would wine and bark but not to this extent.... has anyone go any tips pleeeeeeeeeeease

Answer
Hi
getting a new puppy is a daunting task for us all, we all have to learn how to be part of that dogs litter.NOw crate training is a task t needs to be done to ensure every other part of your dogs training is successful.
Barking for an hour is no real deal, they are communicating with you. ALlow them to bar ignore them and they will learn quickly to be quiet.
If you go to my site
www.eurobichons.com
you will find several new mums all training their 9 wek old pups to do what they require with my guidance.

See you online
