Question
I have been looking after my sisters Bichon now since April 20th, all though the information I have read on the bread says they are bred for human companionship it is not so true with him.  He likes few people.  I have a Chihuahua that he played with and became quite attached too (he spent time in camp bowbow before coming here, so he likes others dogs more so that people).  Anyway, my Chihuahua just gave birth to four puppies and is doing the motherly thing these days so I have her in a room gated so Cesar(the Bichon) doesn't disturb them as he is only seven months.  He lays outside the room and cries, he is pooping in the house after being outside and pooping, now today he has some diareah, and just moping.  The only time he perks up is when Baby(the Chihuahua) comes out of the room to go out.  I have been trying to spend extra time with him but it does not seem to help.  I have had to crate him again at night(which he does not mind as he is trained for the crate) as he messed on the floor the night before as well.  He is normally a good dog, very loving to the few people he does like, but very jelous and will want to be between anyone paying attention to Baby.  it is starting to worry me as today as well he doesn't seem to want to eat either.

Answer
This poor little boy is rather stage struck, he come to a newish house , who then have some pups, his behaviour is completely normal.I would spend some time with him and simply play , and start his training from puppyhood again, he needs to think le a dog and not like a jealous dog.
Please take a look at my site to see how it is done with ease www.eurobichons.com

Think of wht its like with a newborn bab and a young toddler, this situation is no different .
