i took my bichon (bundle) for a check up at the vets because he had the runs the vet told me to keep him off food for 2 days then feed him small amounts, he ask what i feed him i said fresh chicken rice veg apple all cut up in to small piece  he told me no because i would slowly kill him, because he wasnt getting enough vitamins reading your answers i dont no what to believe dog foood or fresh cooked chicken etc help

Ok the vet is correct, that diet isnt good enough for any dog on a long term basis.

Suggest that you dont starve him for 2 days

Give him warmed mashed pumpkn for the runs.
