Bichon Frise/runs in circles

Question
I have an 8 year old female. (neutered) She has fits where she runs in circles growling as is something is hurting her behind.  She bites at her bottom but does not seem to injure herself.

Answer
When you say she has fits, do you mean seizures as these must be investigated by a qualified veterinary surgeon.

This could be due to irritation in her anal glands, suggest giving fibre tablets and generally increase fibre in her diet such as vegetables, fruit (apple, pumpkin, pear )
