Question
QUESTION: we have a 13 week old bishon frise shi tzu cross he weighs 2.5 kg is this ok and how many grams of hills science plan should we feed him per day

ANSWER: I dont personally recommend any dried food plan, simply because dogs were not ever intended to eat this way, however I do resaerch dried diets as nutrition is one of my interests in small animals. I would give her 1 cup daily with some wet food, Bichons in particular suffer when fed a dried diet alone no matter who makes it, so I really would recommend giving fresh fruit and veggies within her diet and some fish also. This will help stave off any kind of stones that she may accumulate when using a dried product.

QUESTION: our vet and the dogs breeder have reccomended highley hills science plan the breeder has always used this with no ill effects..he has been superb on this diet since we had him at 6 weeks he is a very healthy little dog hes not a bichon frise but a cross as i stated above...all i need to know is as above is the weight good for a 16 week old 2.5kg and i hve found out we need to feed him 100g of food per day.

Answer
The packet of Hills comes with instruction on how to feed any breed and size of puppy or dog, as I have said I do not recommend feeding dogs dried foods, that means NO DOG or CAT, the Vet will recommend this as he supplies it for a bonus. The breeder, well in honesty why breed a cross , that you have not fully researched to ascertain the health of progeny, both breeds have a variety of health issues to put the two together is irresponsible.
I treat dogs on a daily basis I have interests in genetics and health of all animals as such I will give you my professional opinion. Which stands .

I did give you an amount of 1 cup.
