Question
QUESTION: My male dog is sweet playful and generally calm for a 6 month old puppy, except when we put him on a bed with us- if someone tries to remove him he becomes aggressive, growls, shows teeth and tries to bite. It doesn't matter who he is on the bed with it can be any one of the six of us. Please help

ANSWER: ha ha this made me smile.

What do we expect from our dogs, we give them our kingdom then we expect them to say oh its okay when we remove them

You know what I am going to say next....how silly to allow him such freedom so soon, the only way to resolve this is to crate train him, he needs his own space to retreat too when he gets tired and at that age he will tire often.

So for this family its back to basics, learn from this experience and remember YOU are his boss not the other way around.

QUESTION: Thank You-- we have crate trained him and he has that available but this is in the evening between 6-8 but I understand you are saying he is too young- I do notice at 8 he is very tired and done! Thank you we just won't allow this yet as you stated otherwise he is great- we just love him by us.

Answer
Hi
what I would do is not allow him the bed until he is able to make a decision on choosing his crate first, so from today you need to look at placing him in his crate at bed times , once he is over the I wanna period then hey the choice is yours, but remember, he will (like us ) choose a more comfy place .
Good luck
